First time I heard of the series Prison Break, I wasn’t really that turned on with the show. For some reason, I didn’t find it that inviting. I mean with the title itself- PRISON BREAK- I thought that it’s just gonna be a bit boring watching a bunch of scumbags running out of prison, getting caught, finding their way to break out again, and so on and so forth.
Over dinner though, a friend of mine Dyan gave me a sort of synopsis. Well hmmm okay, might as well give it a shot. Ate Nanah borrowed a DVD from a friend and its just lazing above the player at home so maybe during my free time I could try and watch it.
And hey, I never thought I could be hooked!
Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller).
He’s just so addicting. (okay, let me rephrase it, it just didn’t sound or shall I say’ look so right hehe..).He’s just so worth watching.Hehe…
For those who’ve seen Mariah Carey’s MTV We Belong Together, he’s the guy chasing Mariah. Yes, the guy that looks so intellectually handsome with his vivid stares and professional-looking stance. Hay…
Hehe okay, enough. I’m not watching Prison break just to fascinate myself with his presence on-screen. I’m also watching it coz I am tad amazed by how they could twist the story in such a way that viewers are led to thinking how the characters could do that, how he could think of such, why did that thing happen, where did they go and stuff. It’s like watching a strategy show, in a leisurely way though.
Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield are the main characters in the series. For them, it’s enough that they were able get out of prison together and get lost in another country where they could not be put into exile. All they want is to be free. Not totally free of course coz they know that somewhere out there, they’re still being hunted by the authorities for the things they did not really commit. But free in such a way that they could be able to be live like a normal citizen- even for a time.
Got me thinking. The show makes me embrace my freedom more. Heck I could walk freely outside, get in a restaurant, buy coke, walk again, get in a mall, wherever, whenever and whatever. I’m free! No one’s gonna hunt and cuff me anytime. What a big right I have there. All I have to do is to utilize that freedom in a good way. Do what must be done and appreciate the things around me.
Wow. I don’t know if I’m sounding like a ratty geek now but I just love the feeling of being reaffirmed with all the blessings I have.
Hay… I guess there’s just really more to Prison Break than Wentworth Miller. *wink *.
Note: The blogger was not given any incentive in any way by Fox for this positive write-up (it would be a good idea though. Wahehe..)
